You’re down below where the cool waters flow, so inviting
And I don’t know, guess I’m gonna have to go
Though its frightening.

Free falling.

Well, it’s not quite 11 o’clock
‘Cause the Sun hasn’t kissed the dock, not yet.
I was the last one up last night
I’m the first one up again this morning
So I put on a pot of coffee,
Grab my paddle, grab my canoe
Put my guitar in tune
So there I am at the edge of the dock
Coffee in my hand, guitar, and a plan

So, I get it all in the canoe, much easier to say than do
And I have a sip of my coffee, put it down between my feet
Paddle stroke backwards, tune… and I’m in the Sun
The Sun caress my face, I let me mind erase
I can hear the Lake lapping at the canoe, can’t you?
And I pick up my guitar and play
Play real quiet ’cause everybody’s still sleeping
